Austin Poling, an Alabama man, has been charged with shooting his father and dog to death this week.
Investigators found 55-year-old Tracy Poling dead at his home in Hamilton on Wednesday, AL.com reported.

Marion County Sheriff Kevin Williams said Hamilton police officers, firefighters, and Marion County EMS were on the scene when deputies arrived.
As deputies began processing the scene — finding shell casings near the bodies of Poling and the dog — other deputies found Poling’s son, 28-year-old Poling, walking along Highway 187 nearby.
Arrested
He was taken into custody and charged with murder and cruelty to animals.
Investigators have not revealed a motive for the shooting, nor did they say who called 911.
Poling is being held in the Marion County jail on bonds totaling $160,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
